Very honoured to be able to help make newly weds Shaddow and Rachel Ayala's honeymoon an occasion they will never forget on the big wild walls of the Verdon.
Shaddow and I had already briefly met some years ago on a bouldering road trip in Bishop California. When he contacted me this summer with the news that he was getting married and specifically coming to the Gorge for a special climbing Honeymoon trip I immediately remembered him and was psyched
to be his guide and organise the logistics of filming and photographing them on 2 of the Verdon's more
'out there' short routes - "Tanti Auguri" 6c and in the short video below, Shaddow climbing the massively exposed

"Baiser Sanglant" 6c+.

This past weekend of climbing was an absolute dream come true and I owe it all to the incredibly chill and crazily talented, Alan Carne. Alan has been climbing in the Verdon Gorge since he
hitch-hiked here from England when he was 18 and he hasn't lost one ounce of his passion for climbing and fascination with the amazing gorge he now calls home.

I will never forget the amazing climbs and hope to, like Alan, stay geeked about this amazing world
and keep climbing on it.
